Water main rain causing disruption of service to North Hills homes

Water main Thompson Run Road in the North Hills is closed between Pin Oak Drive and Hazlett Road due to a water main break.

Traffic is down to one lane on a North Hills road after a water main break.

Thompson Run Road between Pin Oak Drive and Hazlett Road near the Ross Township/McCandless border was closed due to a break in the 700 block of Thompson Run Road.

West View Water Authority told Channel 11 the leak was under control by about 5 a.m.

About 20 homes are without water.

Repair efforts are expected to continue into the afternoon.
