11 Things to Do

11 things to do at home this week in Pittsburgh (4/28-5/3)

We’ve all been stuck at home as we social distance and help flatten the curve during the COVID-19 pandemic. That doesn’t mean there isn’t anything fun to do!

Whether you are looking to entertain your children or blow of some steam and relax, we’ve got 11 things you can do this week without leaving your neighborhood!

Kennywood Opens At Home

Trivia Tuesday: When Did Jack Rabbit Open?

Did you know that for the majority of the Jack Rabbit's life, Kennywood promoted it as opening in 1921? It wasn't until amusement park historian Dave Hahner began researching for his book, Images of America: Kennywood, that he discovered evidence in our archives that it actually opened a year earlier, in 1920. Without his efforts, we wouldn't be celebrating the coaster's centennial until next year. Watch Dave and other amusement historians talk Jack Rabbit, then share your stories about the coaster for a chance to win a Season Pass - we're giving away 100 in honor of 100 years of Rabbit rides! Contest closes May 4, enter now: Kennywood.com/JackRabbit100
