FORWARD TOWNSHIP, Pa. — An arrest warrant has been issued for a man after a shooting early Saturday morning that killed a Belle Vernon man and injured two women outside a bar in Forward Township, police said Sunday.
Joshua Wardlaw, 21, is wanted in connection with the triple shooting outside Saloon 136 on Rainbow Run Road.
Johnathan Minnie, 27, was standing with friends in the parking lot of the bar shortly before 2 a.m., when shots were fired at the group, the Washington County coroner said.
According to a criminal complaint, witnesses told police that Wardlaw got out of a vehicle, said “What’s up?” and started shooting.
Minnie was shot multiple times, the coroner said. He was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Officials said the two other victims, both 27-year-old women, were hospitalized and last listed in stable condition. Court papers indicate that Minnie pulled the two women to the ground as the shots were fired.
Saloon 136 was closed Saturday out of respect for the victims, and announced that it will now enforce a policy requiring patrons to be at least 30 years old.
Police said Wardlaw is known to frequent the Donora, Monessen, Rostraver Township, Carroll Township and McKeesport areas.
The Allegheny County Police Department's Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting. Anyone with information about Wardlaw’s whereabouts is asked to call 412-473-1300.
Charges against Wardlaw include criminal homicide, two counts of criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.
A GoFundMe account has been set up for Minnie's funeral costs and children, and can be found HERE.
