United Airlines adding direct flights to Pittsburgh from Florida due to increased demand

PITTSBURGH — United Airlines announced the addition of 28 nonstop flights throughout the nation for this upcoming winter that will connect Pittsburgh and other cities to four Florida destinations. The airline said it is seeing an increase in demand throughout the country from passengers who are expressing an increased interest in air travel since the Covid-19 pandemic began affecting the industry in March.

For Pittsburgh, this means new, direct flights to Fort Meyers, Florida are coming from United starting on Dec. 17 and tickets are now available to purchase on United’s website.
