BUTLER, Pa.,None — Police in Butler said they arrested a man after they spotted him pushing a child in a stroller with an IV in his arm.

According to police, Albert Mastrocesare, 26, left through a back door at Butler Memorial Hospital on Friday with the IV still in his arm. Investigators said Mastrocesare was under the influence of a controlled substance when he left hospital.

Police later found Mastrocesare walking near the intersection of Cecilia and East Brady streets, pushing a baby stroller with his girlfriend's 2-year-old daughter on board. Police said they also found a loaded gun in the stroller.

As police were arresting Mastrocesare, investigators said his girlfriend, Alyssa Mainhart, 22, arrived to pick up him. Police also arrested her. Both were jailed on child endangerment and firearms charges.
