The Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office said that following deliberations that began Wednesday, the jury in Judge Donna Jo McDaniel's courtroom convicted Callen of the following charges:

  • Aggravated indecent assault on someone less than 16 years old
  • Sexual assault by a sports official
  • Indecent assault on someone less than 16 years old
  • Unlawful contact with a minor - sex offenses
  • Corruption of minors less than 18 years old
  • Corruption of minors (three counts)
  • Aggravated indecent assault on someone less than 13 years old
  • Indecent assault on someone less than 13 years old
  • Endangering the welfare of children (two counts)

The DA’s Office said it was reported to the judge that during deliberations, Callen was in the hallway of the courthouse holding hands with a 16-year-old gymnastics student. McDaniel ruled that Callen's behavior in the hallway was a violation of a previous no-contact order and revoked his bond prior to the verdict.

Following the verdict, McDaniel again revoked his bond, and Callen was remanded to the Allegheny County Jail to await sentencing. McDaniel set Callen’s sentencing for May 9.
