Mom, child escape fire in Beaver County home

NEW BRIGHTON, Pa. — A mother rescued her child and dog from their burning Beaver County home.

Fire crews rushed to a house on Penn Avenue in New Brighton around 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Police told Channel 11 the mother smelled smoke and discovered the fire at the back of the house. She was able to get everyone out safely.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
