Recess football is more than a game at Allegheny Traditional Academy, it’s a pastime

PITTSBURGH — Brice Flenory is more than just the Dean of Students at Allegheny Traditional Academy, he’s also the quarterback, referee and stat keeper for recess football.

Boys and girls from second to fifth grade are divided into teams for the games, they have uniforms keep a hall of fame.

“I just wanted to do something special for the kids at recess,” Flenory said.
