PITTSBURGH — The group Citizens of McCandless is hoping to derail the proposed Walmart Supercenter project.
A judge heard arguments Tuesday afternoon in the appeal, but reached no final decision.

Citizens of McCandless filed a lawsuit against the town after McCandless Town Council approved a plan to build the supercenter just off McKnight Road.
"Certainly we don't want to block development. Development is good. Change is fine, but let's do it thoughtfully,” Citizens of McCandless member Deborah Sagan said.
Sagan, who has called McCandless home for 15 years, said she wanted more communication and transparency from the McCandless Town Council.
During Tuesday’s court hearing, attorneys for the town and Walmart said they followed proper guidelines and met ordinances by using already established property without adding modifications.
However, parking and access remain a concern for residents who compare the situation to that of McCandless Crossing.
Residents said the development talks for Walmart mirror what's happened at McCandless Crossing down the street.
"What's the biggest issue in my mind with McCandless Crossing right now is the lack of parking,” Sagan said.
