Pitt bounces back with big win over Virginia Tech, 79-64

On Saturday night, the Panthers battled with Virginia Tech in front of a strong Petersen Events Center crowd for its blackout game.

It didn’t take long for Pitt to find the bottom of the basket, as the Panthers jumped out to a quick 7-0 run to start the game. Pitt’s star Blake Hinson threw down an early two-handed slam to kick off the scoring, and minutes later hit a three-pointer from the “T” in the Pitt logo.
