PITTSBURGH — We know you want the best view to watch the EQT Flashes of Freedom Fireworks, produced by Pyrotecnico. They're part of Celebrate America, presented by the EQT Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta.
With your help, we've found out the top five fan favorite places in Pittsburgh.
Erica Devito, a member of the Elliott neighborhood association, is a little partial to the view at the West End overlook.
"Truly it is the greatest view in Pittsburgh," she gushed.
The West End Overlook provides a straight shot to the Point with no obstruction. Plus, Devito said the overlook offers a lot more on the holiday.
They are expecting more than 1,000 people at the overlook on the Fourth, but keep in mind, there are only about 50 parking spots so carpooling may be a good idea.
If you're looking for a more close up experience, head to Point State Park.
"Thousands upon thousands of people are going to be here," said Matt Greene, the manager of Point State Park.
The best seat may be right at the fountain where the view is unobstructed.
"The Fort Pitt militia and the costume re-enactors will be down at the Point this year with the six pound cannon to be able to shoot that off to start the fireworks," said Greene.
If you're looking for an aerial view, another spot is Mt. Washington near the Duquesne Incline.
The North Shore gives you a great unobstructed view along the Allegheny River.
There are even some grassy spots to take a seat.
And if none of that appeals to you, you can always stay at home with the family and watch the EQT Flashes of Freedom Fireworks on WPXI-TV and WPXI.com. Live coverage starts at 9 p.m.
