Man faces 30-60 years behind bars after pleading guilty to murdering a 4-year-old boy

BUTLER, Pa. — A man pleaded guilty Monday to murdering a 4-year-old boy in 2016.

Keith Jordan Lambing, the boyfriend of Bentley Miller’s mother, was arrested after weeks on the run. Lambing was found by police hiding out in Butler. Police said the boy died at Butler Memorial Hospital after officers were called to a parking lot where the boy was found unresponsive.

A week before he was to go on trial, possibly facing the death penalty, Lambing pleaded guilty to third-degree murder, aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child. The District Attorney tells Channel 11 he faces 30-60 years in prison.

Prosecutors said this deal spares Bentley’s family from hearing the horrific details of what happened all over again.

Lambing is expected to be sentenced next week.
