One person was killed and another was injured in a multi-vehicle accident in Lawrence County Sunday.
According to police, the accident took place on Interstate 376 just south of the Mitchell Road intersection – near Mile Marker 10 – late Sunday afternoon.

Both vehicles were heading east, the car in the lefthand lane lost control and struck the other vehicle involved, which was in the right lane, police said.
The second vehicle then struck a guiderail and a tree. The driver and passenger of the second vehicle were both transported to UPMC Jameson, according to police.
The passenger, who was identified as Donna Nelson, 80, of Wampum, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police said Nelson was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident.
Pennsylvania State Police New Castle is continuing to investigate the accident.
