A man and woman hailed a police officer after being shot late Wednesday in Carrick and were taken to a hospital.
Just before midnight, an SUV pulled up to a Mt. Oliver police officer on Brownsville Road, according to a release from the Department of Public Safety. A man got out of the SUV with a gunshot wound to his shoulder.

Police saw two bullet holes in the SUV, according to the release. The female driver had been shot in the ankle.
The victims were taken to UPMC Mercy in stable condition, according to the release.

Officers then went to Birmingham Avenue near Transverse Street to find the shooting scene, according to the release. They found two women who they believe were in the SUV at the time of the shooting.
One of them, Tierale Octavia Blow, 20, of Crafton Heights had a warrant and was arrested.
Police do not have a description of the shooter.
