$30,000 worth of cocaine found inside Mt. Washington home

PITTSBURGH — Police said a Mount Washington man had $30,000 worth of cocaine in his home, along with other drugs, guns and cash.

Neighbors told Channel 11 they couldn't believe what was going on right under their noses.

"That's wild! That is really wild," said Laura Auld, who lives near the home, in the 700 block of Southern Avenue in Mount Washington.

When Channel 11 showed her the picture of what police found inside, she was stunned.

"It's crazy. I never would have expected that," she said.

Pittsburgh police say inside the house they found $30,000 worth of crack cocaine, heroin, marijuana, a ballistic vest, a pistol, drug packaging material and more than $22,000 in cash.

It was all part of a monthlong investigation that led Pittsburgh police to arrest Paul Anthony Parrish on a slew of drug charges, including possession with intent to deliver.

This isn't the first time Channel 11 has told you about Paul Parrish.

He's a convicted felon, and police say his gun was connected to an accidental shooting of 3-year-old Yasha Ross.

Police say the little girl accidentally shot herself after getting ahold of a gun.

Auld said, "It's scary when you got little kids. I've got a 5-year-old granddaughter that lives here, and I'd be afraid for her to go down there."
