A single act of kindness at a diner snowballed into a cascade that showcased the best part of Pittsburgh: the people.
A couple at
a popular restaurant in the Strip District, picked up the check for a pair of police officers having a meal.

Those officers, in turn, paid it forward and bought someone else’s meal.
The chain of generosity became so popular the diner had to print up notes explaining to patrons what was going on.
Kelly O’s said the streak continued for about 60 checks and ended with a free breakfast for another pair of police officers on the Fourth of July.
