SWISSVALE, Pa. — A runaway truck took out a home in Swissvale Friday afternoon.
Eight hours after the crash, it was finally removed.
Crews worked to safely remove the asphalt truck from the home on Kris Glen, which is now boarded up.
The woman who lives there wasn't home when a runaway construction truck careened a quarter of a mile downhill without a driver and didn't stop until it crashed into her living room.

Officials tell Channel 11 an asphalt company out of New Castle, Ohio Valley Sealcoating, was doing work nearby on Jeremias Street.
The unoccupied truck was parked at the top of the street where crews were attempting to load the paver onto a trailer attached to the truck, when the brakes slipped.
"There is significant structural damage to the foundation as well as the exterior walls," Clyde Wilhelm, chief of Swissvale Fire Department said. "All three flights of stairs from the first floor to the basement and the first floor to the second floor are gone. The truck took them out."
Channel 11 contacted the company that owns the truck and they declined comment.
