Officials are investigating after a body was found along the Monongahela River in Homestead on Thursday.
Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit detectives are assisting in the investigation.
Pittsburgh River Rescue responded with fire units from Homestead, Braddock and McKeesport for a report o a body in the river near the rear of the Hampton Inn at the Waterfront around 1 p.m.
The body of a man was recovered, and investigators are attempting to identify him.
