DUNBAR TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A car slammed into the side of a daycare in Fayette County on Sunday.
According to state police, the driver started to lose control at a busy intersection on Route 119 and ended up inside Desirae’s Playland Daycare on Dunbar Road in Dunbar Township.

The vehicle rammed through three walls inside the building. Channel 11 spoke with the daycare’s owner, who said the damage is surreal.
“We’re concerned with the structural damage. DHS came out, and they did officially close us. We’ll need engineers to OK the building before we reopen," said Desirae Leonard.
Desks are toppled and walls are buckled after the devastating crash. Leonard, who lives right below her daycare, said she was home when the car came barreling through the building.
Luckily, no one was hurt, and state police are investigating the crash.
Leonard does not know how long her daycare will be closed, as she is still waiting on an insurance adjuster to come assess the damage. However, state police told her they don’t believe that driver will be criminally charged.
