UPDATE: As of 6:30 am. Wednesday, about 60 homes were without water service as crew continued working on the main.
Crews remained on scene Tuesday night, working feverishly to repair a water main break that left 60 homes without service.
"I've never seen a water break this bad!" said Kayleigh Kriner, who lives near the water main break that closed a road in Pleasant Hills.

The 16-inch main broke shortly after 4 p.m. along Torwood Lane, said Gary Lobaugh of Pennsylvania American Water.
Channel 11's Mike Holden reports there is significant damage to the road and water was rushing toward neighborhood homes.

The intersection buckled, a number of cracks split the road in pieces. Pennsylvania American Water is still working to restore services. A spokesperson says the main was more than 60 years old and apparently had deteriorated. The company confirms they will repair damage.
"Our restoration team is on site going door to door," Lobaugh said. "We have approximately 20 customers that have been impacted by this break, and that ranges from landscape damage to water in the house."

Water is expected to be restored by noon Wednesday.
