"We just started getting ambushed by rocks or whatever, and I didn't realize it was rocks til a young lady jumped in front of me," said Latasha Coates. "We kept getting hit, I had children in the car."
A broom in the middle of the road forced the drivers to slow down by the California Avenue overpass.
"The next thing we knew our car was getting pelted with something, and I immediately called 911 because we suspected it was kids throwing things over the wall," added Deborah Henle of Leetsdale.
Coates and Henle pulled over on Termon Avenue, where they spoke to Channel 11.
"First thing I thought was, 'It's going to break the window and hit the windshield,'" Coates said. "I just started panicking, like just keep moving; the traffic was slowing down."
Police took two juveniles into custody.
