INDUSTRY, Pa. — At least one person is dead in a crash in Beaver County.
Police said a white car crashed into a tractor-trailer around noon Tuesday on the Shippingport Bridge, which crosses the Ohio River to connect Shippingport and Industry. The car was on Route 68 headed east when the driver turned onto the bridge and hit the tractor-trailer, police said.

Police say a snow squall made the road conditions slick and made it difficult to see around the time of the crash.
“It was snowing and the conditions were bad. It was near white-out,” said Officer Ken Stahl, of the Beaver Police Department.

A female passenger in the car was killed. She was identified as Lashawna Alyssa Octavia Shuppas Terry, 19, of Steubenville, Ohio. The driver was taken to the hospital. The driver of the tractor-trailer was shaken up, but was not injured.
The bridge was closed for three hours.
