ONSLOW COUNTY, NC — Investigators in North Carolina said they have made an arrest in the disappearance of 3-year-old Mariah Woods, and who they now believe she is dead.
Onslow County sheriff's deputies and the FBI have arrested Earl Kimrey, 32, the live-in boyfriend of the child’s mother, officials said.
Kimrey is facing charges of concealing death and obstruction of justice, among others, officials said.

Based on evidence they recovered in the investigation,Sheriff's Office officials said they believe the little girl is deceased.
Woods was reported missing Monday morning.
Her mother told investigators she last saw her daughter Sunday, and Kimrey saw her later that night. He told investigators the girl woke up and he told her to go back to sleep.
Officials said the search for the child is now a recovery process.
Kimrey is being held on a bond of more than $1 million bond, officials said.
