HOOVERSVILLE, Pa. — Several fire departments were called to a massive fire at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Somerset County on Friday, according WJAC-TV.
Flames broke out after 9 a.m. at the church on Sugar Street in Hooversville that is a staple in that community.
Part of the roof also collapsed, according to firefighters.

The smoke could be seen for miles and was pouring from the building for hours.
The church’s offices, dining hall and living quarters are a total loss, according to WJAC-TV, but firefighters saved the main service area.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
