WILKINSBURG, Pa. — A sinkhole caused by a water main break has closed several blocks of Penn Avenue in Wilkinsburg.
The hole was the size of a car tire when an 8-inch main broke around 2 p.m. Friday.

It has since grown to encompass most of the intersection as crews are working to fix the water line.
Channel 11 talked to nearby businesses that are without water while the repairs are being made.

Water service is not expected to be restored until early Saturday morning.
The closure is between Hay and Coal streets and is affecting traffic.
