WASHINGTON COUNTY, Pa. — Both directions of Interstate 79 were closed for a time Wednesday night after a car caught on fire.

PennDOT officials said the incident happened between the Houston/Eighty Four and Canonsburg exits.

It’s not clear what led to the crash. Pictures and video showed the car on fire partially in the median of the highway.
