New Kensington assistant fire Chief Ed Saliba Jr. said there were no reports of injury and no one was in the building owned by H.R. Curry.

Saliba said the fire was under control at about 12:20 a.m. and extinguished about 20 minutes later. The building suffered extensive fire and smoke damage but it's too early to estimate how much.
Firefighters created a hole in the side of the building in order to tackle the fire, Saliba said.
