Kenny Chesney concert in Pittsburgh has been postponed

PITTSBURGH — Update 5/14/20:

The Kenny Chesney concert scheduled for May 30 at Heinz Field has been postponed.

A new date has not yet been announced.

According to a tweet from Kenny Chesney’s page, original tickets are automatically valid for a rescheduled show. If you have tickets to a postponed show, refund options will be available at the time a rescheduled date is announced.

It’s a little more than two weeks away until the Kenny Chesney concert in Pittsburgh, and it has not been canceled.

Fans are waiting and worrying what will happen. Many knowing the COVID-19 crisis is the most important thing, but they want to know if they will get their money back if it’s rescheduled.

According to the website, the concert scheduled for May 30 at Heinz Field is still on, but Chesney has canceled every concert up to May 28.

Channel 11 checked in with Allegheny County since Chesney is booked at Heinz Field.

Mayor Bill Peduto’s communications director said it seems “impossible to hold it” because even in the yellow phase the state is prohibiting any gatherings of more than 25 people.

At the same venue a month later, the Rolling Stones have already postponed their concert. They were set to perform June 23, and fans were advised to hold onto their original tickets and await further information.

Any updates on Chesney’s concert will come from the tour organizers directly, and those updates are expected by the end of the week.
