Man accused of paying for sexual contact with child arrested

GREENSBURG, Pa. — UPDATE 6 p.m.

A man wanted for paying to have sexual contact with a child is now behind bars in Greensburg.

He turned himself in to authorities Friday after a woman was arrested Thursday for allowing men to have sexual contact with a 7-year-old in exchange for money.

One of the men accused of touching the 7-year-old says it's the child's fault.

According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Tribune Review, Brian Spillar told police the child came onto him while he was drunk.

Friday in court, he denied the allegations, calling it all "heresay."

Police say Spillar paid for sex with Rebecca Shadle, and then paid her to have sexual contact with the child.

Greensburg police say they are looking for several other men suspected of abusing that child.

A woman has been arrested for allegedly allowing men to have sexual contact with a 7-year-old in exchange for money, Greensburg police said.

Rebecca Shadle is charged with trafficking minors, criminal conspiracy, aggravated indecent assault of a child, sexual exploitation of children, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children.

Police said Shadle solicited herself online for sex and the child was involved in some of the solicitation.

Police said Shadle provided sex for money at her Greensburg apartment. Neighbors said Shadle was open about the alleged incidents.

"She told everybody about it, like, 24 hours a day," said Zay Abidi, who lives nearby.

When Channel 11 asked Shadle about the accusations against her, Shadle said she was "forced to do all of that."

"I mean, I was there, but I was scared ... threatened to be killed," she said, adding, "I would take it back all the way."

Police said Shadle's neighbor, Brian Spillar, paid up to $60 to touch the child on more than one occasion. The child told investigators that it also happened with another man.

Police said they have obtained an arrest warrant and are searching for Spillar. He faces charges of aggravated indecent assault of a child, patronizing a victim of sexual servitude and corruption of minors.

Anyone with information on Spillar’s whereabouts is asked to call the city of Greensburg Police Department at 724-834-3800.

Shadle remains in the Westmoreland County Jail. Stay with Channel 11 News and WPXI.com for continuing coverage.
