Monroeville police arrested a Homestead man in connection with two bank robberies and the robbery of an Eat ‘n Park.
David Payo, 52, was arrested Thursday night at a bus stop near the Monroeville Mall, Monroeville Chief of Police Doug Cole told
Payo had an active warrant for his arrest in connection with a robbery at the PNC Bank inside the Giant Eagle at the Waterfront shopping complex in Homestead. Payo is also suspected of robbing the Citizen's Bank branch inside the Giant Eagle in Monroeville on Thursday.

Cole said Monroeville police were also able to connect him to a robbery at Monroeville's Eat 'n Park restaurant on Saturday afternoon,
Payo was arraigned Friday and a judge set his bail at $50,000.
Two other banks were robbed on Thursday. Police said Jason Betz is suspect of robbing two Citizens Banks, one on Library Road in Bethel Park and the other on Butler Plank Road in Shaler Township. Betz remained at large as of Friday evening.
