A man was fatally shot in Springdale Township on Sunday morning after he tried to break into a home, police said.
Officials responded to a home invasion call in the 1200 block of Butler Road around 10:05 a.m.

They said Joseph Secora, 39, broke a glass door and entered the home. A resident shot him, and he fled across the road, where he was found dead.
Police said the motive for the home invasion is unknown, but residents of the home knew Secora.
It is believed he had mental health issues, police said.
Police are investigating.
