From Chopper 11, you could see a gray pickup truck in front of the bus with heavy damage to the front end of the vehicle. The driver was taken to the hospital, according to a Port Authority spokesperson.
The bus also sustained damage.
The preliminary investigation shows the driver of the pickup truck was driving northbound in a southbound lane on Route 51 and struck the bus head-on. The name of that driver hasn't been released.
The bus driver was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
There was no one on the bus except for the driver.
