HOMEWOOD, Pa. — A teenager was hit by a bus on the East Busway at Homewood Station.
The 19-year-old woman was struck around 4:40 p.m.

Medics took her to UPMC Presbyterian where her condition is still unknown.

The investigation shut down the busway.

Witnesses tell Channel 11 they were standing on the platform when they watched the woman walk in front of a parked bus and step out into the roadway, where she was hit by another bus coming down the busway.
Bus traffic was backed up for quite a while, which shut down the section of the East Busway, and all traffic was re-routed.
