Pittsburgh man drowns at Somerset County swimming hole

WINDBER, Pa. — A Pittsburgh man drowned at a Somerset County swimming hole Sunday, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

According to WJAC-TV, crews were called to the area of the 1500 block of Cottage Lane in Paint Township just before 1 p.m. Officials said the man “jumped from a waterfall and never resurfaced.”

State police identified the man as Jeremiah Thompson, 20, of Pittsburgh.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
