"Your heart breaks when you see anybody succumb to gun violence, let alone somebody 13- 14-years-old, it was particularly distressing," said Braddock Mayor John Fetterman. "It's unacceptable and something has to get done with respect to this gun violence."
A few hours before Gray's murder, Pittsburgh police responded to another shooting in the Hill District where a 10-year-old girl and her 3-year-old sister were hit by bullets that were fired at a house in Skyline Terrace, prompting Pittsburgh police Chief Scott Schubert to tweet out: " 3 children shot in 2 separate incidents today. Unacceptable!"

"If we as a society become desensitized to the fact that a 13 or 14 year old will get shot in the head and left for dead in the middle of the street, then we have to take a long hard look at ourselves," Fetterman added.
Both shootings are still under investigation.
No arrests have been made and no suspects have been named.
