Primanti Brothers dedicated a portion of its profits Saturday to benefit the family of fallen New Kensington Officer Brian Shaw.
The popular food chain’s Harmar location is donating 10 percent of its total sales Saturday to raise funds for Officer Shaw’s family.

Local police and fire representatives were also on-site throughout the day collecting donations for the cause.

David Head, CEO of Primanti Brothers, said his company is dedicated to giving back to the community, and those who protect it.
“As a member of the greater Pittsburgh community, we are devastated over the loss of Officer Shaw," Head said in a statement. "We've always been supporters of the police and look forward to the opportunity to support Officer Shaw's family."
The company said it would match all donations received throughout the day Saturday, in addition to the initial sales commitment.
The Harmar location will be open until 2 a.m. Sunday.
