A Beaver County native has been removed from her teaching position in Florida while the district investigates reports that she hosts a white supremacist podcast, HuffPost reported.
Dayanna Volitich, who went to high school in Hopewell, is a social studies teacher at a middle school in the Citrus County School District, according to HuffPost.
Volitich was removed from her classroom after HuffPost reported she secretly hosts the podcast, "Unapologetic," under an alias.

On Sunday, Volitich’s removal and the investigation were announced by the school district.
“The Human Resources department was notified and an investigation was initiated immediately. The teacher has been removed from the classroom and the investigation is ongoing. Pursuant to Florida Statute an open investigation and materials related to it are exempt from public record and cannot be discussed until the investigation is complete,” a statement from the superintendent said.
