Smoke pours from Monroeville bike shop after 4-alarm fire

MONROEVILLE, Pa. — Smoke was pouring from a Monroeville bike shop Tuesday afternoon as it grew to a 4-alarm fire.

Firefighters were concentrating on Pro Bike + Run in the Miracle Mile plaza along William Penn Highway.

Chopper 11 was over the scene and fire crews could be seen on the roof of the store. Officials said it took about an hour to get the situation under control. The heat played a major role in fighting the fire so more crews were dispatched than normal.

It’s not clear what caused the fire.
