A second teacher was injured days later in an unrelated incident involving a student.

Superintendent Anthony Hamlet met with teachers to hear their concerns and figure out what can be done to improve issues at the school.

“I thought the meeting went well. You heard a lot of ideas, a lot of emotions,” Hamlet said. “I wanted to make sure I went to the staff themselves. I didn’t want this to be a top down solution.”

Hamlet said he wants to bring in additional behavioral specialists to help the teachers and students.
