A man and his girlfriend got into a fight at a reception Sunday night, leading him to fire an AK-47 at the floor of their Penn Hills home.
Jeremy Rupp eventually surrendered after an hours-long standoff with police.
Police placed a man in custody Monday morning after an hours-long standoff in the North Bessemer section of Penn Hills prompted by gunshots inside a home.

A police supervisor at the scene said officers eventually persuaded the unidentified man to leave a home. No one was injured.

Several SWAT officers and police vehicles are still on Sentry and Nash avenues in the North Bessemer section of Penn Hills as of 7 a.m.
