WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. — A coach in the West Mifflin School District could lose his job, accused of doing something inappropriate with a student.
The superintendent told only Channel 11 he condemned the alleged actions and says he's suggesting Thursday the school board terminate the assistant coach.
"Shocking, it's surprising," West Mifflin parent Ruth White said.
"Something happened, something should go down," parent Jeffrey Cardamone added.
"It was conduct unbecoming, conduct that we agree is a mortal sin in public education," West Mifflin School District Superintendent Dr. Daniel Castagna said.

He spoke out about an assistant coach at West Mifflin High School who is accused of inappropriate behavior and contact with a now-former student.
Castagna says the assistant coach has been placed on administrative leave and is working with police.
"The employee, I will say, was extremely cooperative. They came forward and fully disclosed the information," he said.
Castagna says the district learned about the incident Wednesday and immediately contacted child line and law enforcement officials.

Channel 11 confirmed the student involved graduated last year from the high school.
"The current head coach had conversations and contacts with players and parents and parents were very supportive."
Castagna couldn't comment on the circumstances behind the misconduct, but he believes it was an isolated incident
"We're at the end of it and it's not gonna to continue to grow," he said.
The assistant coach is not allowed on school grounds.
