ENGLEWOOD, Fla. (WFLA) — A West Penn Power lineman in Florida helping to restore power after Hurricane Irma was injured Wednesday.
According to NBC affiliate WFLA, a 53-year-old man was shocked around 3:30 p.m.

Todd Meyers, a spokesman for West Penn Power, told WFLA one of its linemen, who he did not identify, came in contact with a live line and was hurt.
Meyers told Channel 11 the lineman is among 40 West Penn Power workers sent to Florida, which have been primarily focused on restoring service to customers on the Gulf Coast.
WFLA reports the lineman was transported to a burn unit, where his condition is unknown.
Meyers also told WFLA the linemen have been working very hard to restore power and stressed the company has a high focus on safety.
