Christina Nicassio, 27, is charged with fatally stabbing her 69-year-old father, identified earlier by police as Dr. Anthony Nicassio, one of three doctors listed at Greater Pittsburgh Medical Associates - UPMC in Pittsburgh.

- Has two older brothers, Anthony and Mark
- Police said Christina had just gone through a breakup and told police she "felt the world was ending."
- Police paperwork said her parents wanted to take her to the hospital for help because she was acting irrationally and not making sense, but she refused to go.
- In the complaint, Christina admitted to stabbing her father twice in the chest with a knife she got from the kitchen.
- She told police, "I don't know why, I thought he had to die."
- She also told police, "I got played by Hollywood….. In a movie, someone who can't love someone else, they stab their father."
She is being held at the Allegheny County Jail on charges of criminal homicide and possessing an instrument of crime. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 17.
