What we know about Rahmael Sal Holt, the suspected killer of police Officer Brian Shaw

Police early Sunday identified the man they suspect fatally shot New Kensington police Officer Brian Shaw.

A warrant was issued for 29-year-old Rahmael Sal Holt.

Police said he's considered armed and dangerous.

We dug into court documents, and it appears Holt has a lengthy criminal history beginning in 2007.

In 2007, he was arrested in Wilkinsburg and charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm. He was arrested on the same charge later in the year by Wilkinsburg police, was convicted and then sentenced to serve two years probation, according to court documents.

A jury acquitted him of a charge of possession of an unlicensed gun in 2008.

In 2011, Holt was sentenced to two years probation after pleading guilty to resisting arrest, tampering with evidence, disorderly conduct and simple assault for an incident that happened in Wilkinsburg.

Holt was sentenced to serve 2-4 years in state prison in 2012, according to court documents, after pleading guilty to several drug charges in Pittsburgh.

Anyone who knows where Holt may be is asked to call 911. A reward of $43,500 is being offered for information that leads to the location or arrest of Holt.
