Woman found dead outside apartment building

PITTSBURGH — Police are investigating after a woman was found dead outside an apartment building.

Investigators said they were called to the 400 block of West Commons Street at 7:50 a.m. for an unresponsive woman. Officers found the elderly woman outside the building. She was pronounced dead just before 8 a.m.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office is looking into how the woman died.
