Trial begins for girlfriend accused of killing 19-year-old man found in Jeannette apartment

JEANNETTE, Pa. — A Jeannette woman facing homicide charges in the death of her 19-year-old boyfriend will go on trial for his death.

Friday’s testimony said that Khalil Parker died of shock due to the bruises, cuts and abrasions he had all over his body.

The medical examiner said Parker had only been dead 5-10 minutes before 911 was called. Emergency crews found Parker’s girlfriend, Crystal Marie Belle, performing CPR when they arrived to the apartment on Seventh Street.

"We're at a stage right now…where we can see what really happens because no one knows but those two. So we'll see where this leads us," Parker’s mother Candice Parker said.

Police said 150 pieces of evidence with blood on it was collected from the scene, including fragments of a snow shovel, scissors and pliers.

Detective Ray Dupilka said Belle called him five days after the murder, saying news coverage of the crime was going to get her killed. She wasn’t seen or heard from again until her arrest on July 14.
