Cutch is a dad.

Pirates center fielder Andrew McCutchen announced the birth of his first child Wednesday night, and seemingly honored the city where he became a sports hero in the process.

McCutchen and his wife, Maria, named their 8-pound, 15-ounce son Steel Stefan McCutchen, born on Monday.

"I am so thankful for a healthy baby and wife," the former National League MVP wrote in an Instagram post. "Watching my wife go thru this journey has made me appreciate, respect and love her even more than I already do."

McCutchen, 31, has spent his entire professional career with the Pirates, who drafted him 11th overall out of Ft. Meade (Fla.) High School. He’s appeared in five All-Star Games, won four Silver Slugger Awards and earned the league’s Robert Clemente Award for community service in 2015.

On Monday, he added a new accomplishment.

“I am already a proud daddy!” he said.
