The Fleury lovefest continues, this time with some actual Pittsburgh penguins honoring the former Pittsburgh Penguin.
The National Aviary hosted Marc-Andre Fleury Appreciation Day on Friday, a farewell celebration for the three-time champion goalie who played for 14 years with the Pens. Fleury was taken by the Vegas Golden Knights in the NHL Expansion Draft last week.

While Fleury was not in attendance, the North Side nonprofit zoo had plenty planned, including a raffle of Pens gear autographed by Fleury and other penguin-themed items, an appearance by Pens’ mascot Iceburgh, and a ceremony naming one of the aviary’s African penguins in honor of Fleury.
