The Penguins are shoring up the roster in anticipation of a Stanley Cup run.

Pittsburgh traded for forward Josh Jooris on Monday just before the NHL trade deadline, the team announced.

In return, the Pens sent center Greg McKegg to the Carolina Hurricanes.

Jooris, 27, is making $775,000 this season, after which he’ll be an unrestricted free agent.

In 31 games this season, he’s scored three goals and three assists.
