Pitt football opens 2020 season at home against Miami (Ohio)

The University of Pittsburgh football team released its 2020 schedule on Wednesday which includes home match-ups against Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, Duke and others.

The Panthers 12-game schedule includes eight opponents that played in a bowl game this past season, according to a release by the university.

The season begins at home at Heinz Field against Miami (Ohio), a team the Panthers haven’t played since 1949. The final regular season game of the year is against Syracuse. There’s also a Friday night game against Virginia Tech.

  • September 5 - Miami (Ohio)
  • September 12 - at Marshall
  • September 19 - Richmond
  • September 26 - Duke
  • October 3 - at Miami (FL)
  • October 17 - Notre Dame
  • October 24 - Georgia Tech
  • October 31 - at Florida State
  • November 6 (Friday) - Virginia Tech
  • November 14 - at North Carolina
  • November 21 - at Virginia
  • November 28 - Syracuse
